Xuthus Swallowtail

The abstract quality of this butterfly wing pendant is truly quite fascinating. Within its design, it offers a colorful palette of soft yellows, golden browns ,somber blacks and wispy hints of pale blue. This striking specimen is Papilio Xuthus, though it is better known as the "Xuthus Swallowtail" which can be found throughout Asia, China and also in Hawaii. I have sandwiched this choice selection of wing between two pieces of glass that I have cut by hand. Then using copper foil I hold it all together so that I can skillfully finish with Lead Free Solder. This interesting pendants measurements are 5/8" wide by 1 1/8" tall, making for itself an intriguing statement. It comes on an 18 inch 1.5mm black leather cord with a small chain extension and an easy to use lobster clasp. Surely, this unique pendant will capture others attention and be the start of many wonderful conversations.
