Smyrna Bloomfeldia

Its scientific name is Smyrna Bloomfeldia and can be found from southern Texas all the way down into South America. I have encased this butterfly in several layers of hand painted resin, following its form for a very natural appearance. The resin that I use is clear so these are the natural colors of the butterfly only transmuted somewhat with the added bonus of turning the wings semi-transparent much like stained glass. The wingspan of this lovely butterfly is 3 1/2" making for an eye catching statement. This butterfly pendant comes on an 18 inch 1.5mm black leather cord with a small chain extension and an easy to use lobster clasp.
