Sweet and adorable are the words that I would use to describe this real butterfly necklace. Though this butterfly may be petite it possesses on its front a bold pattern that features pinkish reds, golden yellows, solid blacks and slightly iridescent blue markings. The reverse side is also rather lovely with a simpler pinkish red on bold black design. This lovely butterflies name is Paulogramma Peristera and it is a member of the nymphalidae family that is native to South America. I have sandwiched the wings of this butterfly between two pieces of glass that I cut by hand. Then using copper foil I hold it all together so that I can finish with Lead Free Solder. This pendant measures 1 1/8" tall by 2 1/8" wide making for an unusual and interesting shape. It comes on an 18 inch 1.5mm black leather cord with a small chain extension and an easy to use lobster clasp. With this real butterfly necklace being easily reversible it will be a charming addition to your wardrobe.
