Morpho Helenor

$25.00Price
Oh, how I love the mesmerizing quality of the Morpho butterflies! The iridescent blues of it wings shimmer and shift in the light, catching the eye and bewildering its audience. Though I have tried my best, anyone who has ever seen a Morpho butterfly in person understands that photos will never do this beauty justice. Morpho Helenor is this species name and it is native to Central and South America. I have captured here a section of its wing between glass that I cut by hand and sealed together using lead free solder. The reverse side of this beauty is rather interesting as well. In contrast, it offers rich browns, strong blacks, silvery whites, with hints of yellow outlining purple eye spots. This enchanting pendant measures 7/8" by 1 1/8" making for a subtle and very elegant statement. It comes on an 18 inch 1.5mm black leather cord with a small chain extension and an easy to use lobster clasp. A blend of superior craftsmanship and natural beauty that you will find simply spellbinding.
