The shimmering qualities in the wings of the Morpho butterfly are really quite mesmerizing. Their iridescent blues seem to shift and gleam in the light, catching the eye and bewildering its audience. Although I have tried my best, anyone who has personally seen a Morpho butterfly will understand that photos will never do their prismatic qualities justice. This particular species is Morpho Helenor which can be found in its native habitats of Central and South America. With carefully craftsmanship, I have sandwiched these selections of wing between two pieces of hand cut glass. Then using copper foil they are held together while I skillfully finish with Lead Free Solder. Suspended by hypo-allergenic earwires, each earring measures 1/2" wide by 7/8" tall and they are remarkably light weight and fun to wear. Truly a blend of superior craftsmanship and natural beauty, you will be sure to find these earrings absolutely spellbinding.
