Manipur Jungle Queen
I truly do enjoy the watchful eye-spots of these butterfly wings. Cast in a pallet of mottled earth-tones, their quiet vigilance is never wavering. Found in its native habitats of Southern Asia, this species name is Stichophthalma though it is far better known as the "Manipur Jungle Queen". With carefully craftsmanship, I have sandwiched these selections of wing between two pieces of hand cut glass. Then using copper foil they are held together while I skillfully finish with Lead Free Solder. Suspended by hypo-allergenic earwires, each earring measures 1/2" wide by 7/8" tall and they are remarkably light weight and fun to wear. Though seemingly simple in presentation, I am certain that you will enjoy examining their finer details as you thoughtfully return their gaze.
