Quite charmingly, this little darling certainly has a lot to offer. The front side of this butterfly is a rich golden yellow that is fringed in deep red with a speckled black and white pattern. In contrast, the reverse side is a moody black that has slight touches of red and white with a splash of iridescent blue at its center. Natively found throughout India and China, this delightful species is Heliophorus Ila, though it is more commonly referred to as a "Gold Wing". I have sandwiched the wings of this butterfly between two pieces of glass that I cut by hand. Then using copper foil I hold it all together so that I can skillfully finish with lead free solder. This pendant measures 1 1/4" tall by 1 5/8" wide making for an unique and interesting shape. It comes on an 18 inch 1.5mm black leather cord with a small chain extension and an easy to use lobster clasp. It can be easily said that the versatility of this reversible necklace will make a wonderful addition to any wardrobe.
