Five Bar Swordtail
These butterfly wings certainly do make for a curious pair of earrings. Set on a pleasing background of lime green that fades to placid white and again to a golden yellow are an interesting peppering of soft black dots. This exotic species can be natively found in Southern Asia and its name is Graphium Antiphates though it is commonly referred to as the "Five Bar Swordtail". Carefully handcrafted, I have sandwiched these selections of wing between two pieces of hand cut glass. Then using copper foil they are held together while I skillfully finish with Lead Free Solder. Suspended by hypo-allergenic earwires, each earring measures 1/2" wide by 7/8" tall and they are surprisingly light weight and fun to wear. With their naturally intriguing design, these real butterfly wing earrings will be sure to bring you plenty of interested admirers.
