Electric Green Swordtail

The vivid color found in this butterfly wing pendant is really quite amazing. It features a curiously abstract pattern of vibrant green markings set on a deep black background. A native butterfly of Central Africa, this species name is Graphium Tynderaeus though it is better known as the "Electric Green Swordtail". Here, I have sandwiched this choice selection of wing between two pieces of glass that I have cut by hand. Then using copper foil I hold it all together so that I can skillfully finish with Lead Free Solder. This exotic pendants measurements are 5/8" wide by 1 1/8" tall, making for itself a unique statement. It comes on an 18 inch 1.5mm black leather cord with a small chain extension and an easy to use lobster clasp. This pendant will certainly strike curiosity in others and you will surely enjoy letting them know that it is a real butterfly wing.
