Callicore Cyllene

Sweet and gentle are the ways that I would describe this Real Butterfly Necklace. Though it may be small and delicate it does have a rather bold appearance with its rich reds, golden yellows, pale blues and ebony blacks. The inverse side of this butterfly is a bit simpler in design with its deep red set on strong black with slight touches of yellow and blue. A native of South America this butterfly is from the family of Nymphalidae and is known as "Callicore Cyllene". I have sandwiched the wings of this butterfly between two pieces of glass that I cut by hand. Then using copper foil I hold it all together so that I can finish with Lead Free Solder. This pendant has a rectangular design that measures 1 1/8" tall by 2 1/8" wide making for an unusual and interesting shape. It comes on an 18 inch 1.5mm black leather cord with a small chain extension and an easy to use lobster clasp. Lightweight and versatile this reversible necklace is a true charmer.
